Notes: This crab's shell houses a small world unto itself, containing species of:
- epiphytic red, brown and green algae
- various species of coralline crustose algae
- small mallusks and their even smaller offspring (Sabia conica)
- calcareous worms (Family Serpulidae) and snails (Family Vermetidae)
- boring sponges (Cliona sp.)
This shell also shows evidence of a series of fish bites, evidently of the herbivorous variety of grazers.
